ABOUT THE BRAND
Common Ground is a non-profit coffee shop that provides the Jensen community with an inviting gathering space and is a support group for different social causes within the Greater Houston Area. They donate a portion of their proceeds to various initiatives and partner with them to spread different social messages even further. They also strive to be environmentally conscious by serving their products in sustainable packaging. They put great effort into raising awareness, generating interest, and encouraging the public to take action within the Jensen community.
THE INSPIRATION
The brand’s system is a warm and eclectic one with a utilitarian undertone that was inspired by existing coffee shops, namely A 2nd Cup and Sip of Hope. Both have a strong message to deliver through their products, thus, possess a firm and unwavering tone in their branding. However, they are still welcoming and friendly as coffee shops are meant to serve as spaces where the community comes together to enjoy delicious coffee.
